Coats like these were worn by Cavalry Officers during the Indian Wars campaign. Some were squaw made and others were made by uniform companies.
This garment is made of roughed out
buckskin with military buttons. All raw edges are pinked to give a very finished
look, and the fringe is of the very finest cut.
The garment is machine sewn, as
many of the originals were. All seams are welted. It has two flapped waist pockets
and two open-top breast pockets and definitely has the durability to be a family
heirloom.

This garment is made of lamb skin fully lined with leather buttons. All raw edges are pinked to give a very finished look, and the fringe is of the very finest cut. It features fringed yoke, and cuffs.
The garment is machine sewn, as many of the originals were. All seams are welted. It has a rear vent and distressed leather finish throughout. It has two patch waist pockets and two open-top breast pockets. Original design by River Junction Trade Co., superbly crafted by Scully Leather. Imported.
